Make yourself acquainted with all your class professors when the term begins. You need to know the locations of their offices and how to contact them. You must develop good relationships with your professors so that you will feel comfortable talking with them if you need help or an exception on a due date.
There is a wide assortment of food items to choose from. These include fruits, vegetables, meat and grains. These food items all contain different vitamins and minerals that the body needs for optimum health and fitness.
My favorite recommendation; a glass of red wine has been shown to help lower cholesterol and reduce the risk of heart disease and because of the flavanols in red wine, also contains anti-inflammatory properties. Don’t get too excited though, because these benefits only come from up to one glass per day for women and two glasses per day for men at the maximum. Anything beyond that and you actually see a decrease in the benefits of red wine.
First, let’s evaluate your eating habits. Are you eating at least 5 to 6 small meals a day? It may sound like a crazy amount but your body actually needs constant nutrition throughout the day. If you think of your body as a machine and food as fuel it is easier to understand the need for small meals throughout the day. The body needs a healthy breakfast to begin the day.
Next, try to plan out lunches which are low on carbs and fats, and high in proteins and vitamin c. You could have rice with curry, whole grain pasta, a pie or frittata, or any other healthy permutation. Think about what you like – and try to create your ideal meal without too many fats in it. Try not to make dessert a daily habit – replace sugary foods with fruits or green tea. Repeat this process for dinner.
You’ll feel sated if you drink a minimum of eight cups of water per day. Water will also help clear your system, it’ll help keep your skin soft, and you’ll generally feel much better; plus it’ll help you take the pounds off.
What’s wrong is our entire concept of success. The harsh truth is that it’s not suppose to come easily. Whether you are losing weight or amassing a fortune, it takes hard work and commitment. There, I told you the only thing that makes sense. There is no magic bullet, potion or cure for great relationships, saving for retirement, or looking better. I watch the other male and female members who look terrific because they put in their gym time like we do. That is why they look the way they do. I’ll also bet they watch what they eat as well. After all, why jeopardize all that time and trouble in the workouts?
Alcohol is an easy way of increasing your calorific intake DRASTICALLY. With over 200 calories in a large glass of wine you can easily double your day’s calories during a party night out. Plus, alcohol leads to hunger and when drunk you are far less likely to eat wisely. So, in between your alcoholic drinks drink a large glass of water. This will reduce the calories consumed and will help to flush out the toxins (meaning less of a hangover the morning after).
